Kent Industrial (USA) offers a wide variety of high-quality milling machines that are competitively priced in today’s marketplace. The KTM series of mills start with model KTM-3S (step pulley) and KTM-3VS (variable speed), both with a 3HP AC motor drive, 9” X 49” table and 12” X 35” Cross and Longitudinal travel. Additionally, in the same KTM series, Kent USA offers mills with AC-Frequency drive Head with 3-5 HP and R8-40NST spindle, digital RPM display, spindle load meter, and automatic spindle direction reversal when switching between high & low-speed ranges. The table sizes range from 9”X49” (12”X 35” travels); 10”X50” (15.5” X 35” travels); 12” X 50” (17.5” X 33” travels).

Endless Capabilities Available in Our Knee Mills

All standard industry options such as Digital Readouts, Power Feeds, Power Draw Bar, Riser Blocks, are available and installed by Kent USA shop personnel, with the machine being pre-run prior to shipping out to the customer. All models are also available for retrofit of CNC 2 or 3 Axis control – the most popular being the Acu-Rite Millpwr G2.  A popular option available on our Millpower retro-fit mills is the Programmable AMI spindle control function. Our AMI circuit connects the control of the motor speed to the Acu-Rite Control, allowing the operator to program the spindle speed within the program. It also enables the safety feature that allows a hard emergency stop on both the CNC control and the control panel on the head of the machine. Kent USA also has a built-in safety feature that allows the forward and reverse switch to remain correct in both direct drive and in back gear. Additionally, the CNC control is installed by our own Kent USA shop personnel.

Heavy Duty (Die-maker’s) Knee Mill

Within this same KTM series is our Heavy Duty (Die-maker’s) KTM-5AVKF milling machine, with a Powerful 5HP spindle motor, 70-4500 RPM variable speed head with AC-Frequency drive, digital spindle RPM display and individual X/Y/Z jog joystick, X and Y axis driven by DC servo motors, flood coolant system and chip tray, extra-wide 13” X 59” table (20” X 39.4” travels), hardened and ground for long-lasting performance, box ways on the saddle and knee and automatic centralized one-shot lubrication system with metered check-valves.
